First Series – Land Double with a Rooster Flyer
7:34 am - National Anthem was sung by Patrick Wilson from Sedalia, MO.
We arrived at Test One on the beautiful property owned by Bob and Barbara Hayden at Wood Dale Farm. The mat is on a mound facing southwest. It is clear and 48 degrees. This test is a double with both birds being thrown to the left. The field is a terraced with strips of cover that run left to right.
Bird One is a dead rooster. This bird is just to the left of the mound down the terraced field at 175 yards from the line. The two gunners throw, then shoot to the left.
Bird Two is a rooster flyer. This three-gun stand is 200 yards from the mat at a right angle down the terraced field. The rooster may land in one of the cover strips.
